Pikins a unisex children’s online store partnered with MIC to reimagine their brand identity. At the heart of the redesign is a playful and meaningful wordmark that celebrates the brand’s cultural roots and inclusive spirit. Drawing from the Nigerian urban term “pikin,” meaning “children,” the logo cleverly embeds this essence into its design. The two letter “i”s in the name are transformed into charming icons of children’s clothing:
- The first “i” is topped with a classic polo collar, representing boys' wear.
- The second “i” features a tied pinafore silhouette, evoking girls' wear.
Together, these stylized letters create a subtle yet joyful visual balance, reflecting the store’s commitment to catering to every child. More than just typography, the logo becomes a small story of unity and playfulness perfectly capturing Pikins' mission to dress childhood with style, inclusivity, and a touch of cultural pride.
